Gallery 2 - The Wake Up Call

This set was painted at a time when natural disasters were prominent in people’s lives.
Father used the pictures to comfort, inspire, warn and wake up sleeping Christians.

Footsteps

Footsteps

The inspiration for this one came partly from a song and partly from the Psalms 'pray for the peace of Jerusalem'. I committed the work to God and as I painted I could feel my hand being guided slowly in a straight line. It is an incredible feeling, knowing that God is working through you. The footsteps are painted with iridescent paint so they reflect the light (just like the workers for God).

Behold He Comes

Behold He Comes

It is easy to become complacent and sleepy.
At this time in history we must wake up and declare 'The works of The Lord'.

This one really stems from my own conversion, I was in a church, not paying any attention to what was being said, when I heard very clearly someone say "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in" at this point I felt a knocking inside myself and so I said "come in". Then began a relationship with a Saviour who became a Friend, a Counsellor and through Him I came to know my true Father. I'd come home at last.

This is the continuation of 'THE DOOR', it is the result of His knocking and request to be invited in. When I researched this one I looked at lots of different pictures of doors and in the end chose a door from the Holy land. There are hearts in the iron work at the top which I felt was very appropriate

Freedom

Freedom

While in prayer, I saw the most beautiful bird flying freely with light coming from within it. After I had finished, someone saw it and told me they had seen it in a vision as a child. Our God is awesome

Rebirth

Rebirth

I saw this one while I was at a baptism, as I was praying for those being baptised. The first thing I painted was the light, then the rainbow colours swirling out from the centre. Next I painted the darkness and all the things that hold us captive. Some of these are very relevant to me.

All the crosses at the foot of The Cross represent the lives that are laid down to serve The Lord. As I collected the pieces of wood I saw all the men and women that have lain down their lives for the love of Him so that we can have 'the scriptures', 'the freedom to worship', and many other things.
I am convicted and humbled by their dedicated service.

This came as two dreams, the first was the image of the tree and the second was the colour. The most notable thing about the dreams were that the tree had no death in it, everything we see around us has death within it, it will eventually decay and die. This tree was bursting with life and nothing about it was decaying.

In these last days we need to be dedicated to do the will of the Father, if we are, we will be saved. If we are listening and obeying we will walk with Him through these last days and into heaven to be with Him forever. It is a serious matter to dedicate oneself to the Lord.

As I was walking along the beach one day the voice of the Lord spoke to me. He said "I AM the treasure, seek for me with all your heart and you will find riches beyond measure", that was the inspiration for this piece

I saw this one while I was worshipping, I looked around and saw others all reflecting the way they see the Saviour. With each one reflecting their own relationship with Him we will reflect His whole body and He will take His place as the Head.
It is not supposed to be finished, there will always be room in the Body of Christ for one more soul. The face is that of the Turin Shroud, simply because it explains who the picture is, not because I believe it is authentic. I do not know.

I was inspired to paint this after praying for a friends womb to be opened, I saw that a girl is born with all her eggs, she is born with the power of creation within her. The model I used, unknown to any of us (including herself) was pregnant at the time I painted it. Later I met a doctor who informed me that the substance surrounding the egg looks exactly like a galaxy, a fact I was unaware of. The more I learn, the more I see the Father's Hand in everything.
